1 grudnia na całym świecie obchodzony jest „Światowy Dzień Walki z AIDS” z inicjatywy Światowej Organizacji Zdrowia (WHO). Ma on na celu uświadomienie nam wszystkim, jakim wielkim zagrożeniem jest ta choroba, co należy o niej wiedzieć i jak z nią należy walczyć. W tych dniach odbyły się lekcje wychowawcze na temat HIV i AIDS, pokaz prezentacji multimedialnych przygotowanych przez uczniów na temat „Co musisz wiedzieć o HIV i AIDS”. Wykonane zostały gazetki i plakaty tematyczne.
W dniu 29 grudnia został przeprowadzony konkurs dotyczący „Co wiesz o AIDS”, w którym wzięło udział 32 uczniów z klas pierwszych i drugich. Następnego dnia, 30.12.2012r. na dużej przerwie kilka osób rozdawało nauczycielom i uczniom ulotki informujące o tym, jak można uniknąć zakażenia wirusem HIV, a także przypinano czerwone wstążeczki jako symbol „Światowego Dnia HIV i AIDS”.
Osobom biorącym udział w konkursie wiedzy, które otrzymały najlepsze wyniki, pan dyrektor Grzegorz Klimaszewski wręczył dyplomy i skromne nagrody.
Osobą koordynującą i prowadzącą „Światowy Dzień HIV i AIDS” była nauczycielka biologii, pani Jadwiga Białokozowicz, przy niewielkiej pomocy pani pielęgniarki Beaty Sosnowskiej i pedagoga szkolnego Grażyny Górko.
